A Sanctuary of Safety
My approach is simple: if it wouldn’t be safe for my child, it has no place in my studio.
- Every wrap, bonnet, and fabric is washed in hypoallergenic detergent and steamed at high heat before touching your baby’s skin.
- No forced poses. I follow the baby’s lead—if they resist a position, we adapt. My training in newborn physiology ensures their comfort always comes before aesthetics.
- A sterile environment. Hard surfaces are disinfected with hospital-grade cleaners; soft props are rotated to allow deep cleaning between sessions.
- I stay updated. From vaccinations (including whooping cough) to CPR certification, I invest in ongoing education because your child’s well-being is non-negotiable.
The Quiet Confidence of Experience
Thirteen years ago, I photographed my first newborn. Since then, I’ve learned that the most beautiful images arise not from perfectionism, but from patience. A happy baby is a photogenic baby, so we take breaks for feeds, cuddles, or simply to let them settle. My studio is designed for this rhythm: blackout curtains for undisturbed sleep, a temperature-controlled space, and a calm energy that lets parents exhale.
Your Role: Simply Be Present
I’ll never ask you to “just trust me” blindly. You’re encouraged to adjust poses, voice concerns, or even hold your baby mid-session if it feels right. These images are yours; the process should reflect your peace of mind, too.
Beyond the Session: Heirloom Quality, Ethically Crafted
The care extends to your final products. Acid-free albums, non-toxic printing inks, and sustainable materials ensure these portraits last, without compromising your child’s future world.
Because the first chapter of their story deserves nothing less than reverence and rigour.
